๐Ÿ• Provinces. ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ• Districts. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ• Schools. ๐Ÿ•๐ŸŽ Students.
On behalf of the entire HELP team and our supporters, we are proud to announce the 16th batch of the HELP Post-SEE Scholarship 2026.

Congratulations to each one selected!
This year's application opened on the last day of the SEE examination. What followed was 79 days of dedicated work: rigorous essay reviews, one-on-one interviews both in-person and online, and verification at ward and school level. From 201 applications, we have selected 70 scholars (a 35% success rate) from 17 districts and 47 schools, spanning all seven provinces and all three regions of Nepal: the Terai, the Hills, and the Mountains.

We are especially proud of this year's cohort. 61.43% of our scholars are female. 73% come from marginalised communities. And nearly 50% are from Sindhupalchowk- the district that has always been home to HELP and where this programme began in the first place. Every one of these figures reflects a deliberate commitment, not a coincidence.

To the students who applied but were not selected this year: we are genuinely sorry. Every application carried a real story and real hope, and we are grateful you trusted us with both. The limits of our funding mean we cannot say yes to everyone, but please know that your courage in applying was not unnoticed. We wish you all the success in exploring other opportunities.

This year, we are not just taking further steps but also revamping our approach. We are formally introducing a two-tier structure:

Tier 1 โ€” A higher financial grant alongside a wellbeing check-ins, skills development, and leadership support across both years.

Tier 2 โ€” An enabler grant to remove the immediate financial barrier and open the door to further education.
Both tiers are part of our annual scholarship award ceremony at the start of the year and our annual review and gathering at the close.

To our funders, supporters, volunteers, partner schools, and ward offices: thank you. This collaboration and the trust that holds it together is what makes all of this possible.

To every HELP Post-SEE Scholar 2026: congratulations, and welcome to a family now 820 strong. We are honoured to walk alongside you for the next two years with the full stretch of our capacity and a heart that will hold nothing back.
Please check your phone and email. Our team will be in touch shortly with your formal confirmation.

We are proud to support these scholars on their educational journey. If you are interested in supporting our students or would like to learn more about how you can contribute, please feel free to reach out to us.

Panchpokhari Sikai Mela

Panchpokhari Sikai Mela

Rojina Tamang, a Grade 5 student at Shree Saraswati Basic School in Lapse, Langarche-08, Sindhupalchowk, walked an hour and a half with her classmates Ram Tamang and Amrita Tamang to reach the Sikai Mela venue (โ€œLearning Fairโ€) at Shree Kshetrapaleswori Higher Secondary School in Bhotenamlang-07, Sindhupalchwok on 23rd Magh, 2082. They carried with them a model on water purification along with other math projects.

Rojina recalls, โ€œWe made a lot of mistakes while building the project, which we eventually fixed. It was fun working with my friends and being guided by our teachers. We worked as a team even though we came from different grade levels. I was nervous at first about presenting to so many people, but we became more confident each time we explained our project. We also showcased it to Tasi Lama, Chairperson of our Rural Municipality, who asked us many questions.โ€

Like Rojina, nearly 1000 students from 29 schools across Paanchpokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality (PTRM) participated in the fair, with more than 2,000 people attending. Sikai Mela (an educational fair) is an annual students event organized by PaanchPokhari Thangpal Rural Municipality. It was formerly supported by the collaborative initiative of Saaathi Teacher by HELP, and Teach For Nepal fellows. At the Sikai Mela, students from different grade levels have the opportunity to exhibit their projects and learning outcome. It also serves as a great platform for students to practise their 4C skills.

Umesh Dhungana, a Saathi Teacher at Shree Bhotenamlang Secondary School, shared, โ€œSikai Mela is a platform where my students and many others can display their creativity. Despite limited resources in the region, the projects and creativity shown by students are commendable.โ€

Alongside Saathi Teachers attending with their students, the HELP team was also present with a stall to share information about HELPโ€™s Post-SEE Scholarship and Mentorship Programme. Over 200 students appearing for the SEE from PTRM this year visited the stall. The aim was to ensure they are aware of the opportunities available to support their higher secondary education. Congratulations to all the students and initiative of PaanchPokhari Rural Municipality, one of our longest partners working in education on multiple fronts.

Classroom Observation Cycles Successfully Completed Across Partner Municipalities

Classroom Observation Cycles Successfully Completed Across Partner Municipalities

The Saathi Teachers Programme has successfully completed multiple rounds of classroom observations across Tripurasundari, Aanbookhaireni (Tanahun), and Panchpokhari Thangpal (Lungdaar Cluster) Rural Municipalities.

These observation cycles provided valuable insights into teaching practices, classroom engagement, and student learning. Saathi Teachers demonstrated strong commitment to creating engaging and inclusive learning environments, applying innovative teaching methods, and supporting meaningful learning experiences for students. The process also enabled mentoring and constructive feedback, strengthening teachersโ€™ professional growth and confidence.

Student Perception Survey Successfully Conducted Across Three Rural Municipalities

As part of the Saathi Teachers Programme, a Student Perception Survey was successfully conducted with 800 students across 15 schools in Panchpokhari Thangpal, Tripurasundari, and Aanbookhaireni Rural Municipalities, where Saathi Teachers are creating meaningful impact.

Over a two-week period, three Teacher Development Coordinators, supported by three dedicated volunteers, gathered valuable insights into studentsโ€™ perceptions of Saathi Teachers and the quality of teaching being delivered in classrooms. The findings will help strengthen teaching practices and further enhance learning experiences for students.
