Ashish Shrestha is a development professional, who had worked at HELP as a Finance and Procurement Officer from 2015 to 2017, contributing to various programs, including the Basic School Improvement Scheme (BaSIS), the Educational Quality Improvement Program (EQuIP), and major school reconstruction projects carried out by HELP after the earthquake. In 2018, he joined the HELP board as an executive committee member and has since been a key part of its leadership. Currently, he is engaged as a Project Management Specialist with the Asian Development Bank, where he supports regional and national initiatives on building climate adaptation and disaster risk reduction in Nepal and Bhutan. With over 15 years of experience in ‘Disaster Risk Reduction and Management’, ‘Governance’, ‘Public Procurement’, ‘Public Finance’ and ‘Project Management’ sectors, managing small to large-scale projects with national and international institutions such as Nepal’s ’National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority, Department of Health Service, and the World Bank he brings expansive and valuable expertise to HELP. He serves a prominent role on HELP’s Board as a part of the ‘Finance and Governance Sub-Committee’ and the ‘Staff Well-being and Programme Sub-Committee’, providing guidance to ensure HELP’s programmes are managed effectively and efficiently.
