JIMMY LAMA

Co-founder 

 

A co-founder of HELP, Jimmy is originally from Helambu, Sindhupalchowk,  where he grew up and completed his early schooling. Jimmy saw the need to help schools and communities in Helambu before founding HELP and, since then, has maintained very strong links in the region. He earned a BA in Business Management from Tribhuvan University, going on to receive an MA in International Development from the University of Sussex, England. He has travelled extensively throughout North America, Europe, Southeast Asia and Australia, building networks and connections. Before setting up HELP, Jimmy assisted with the construction of a school in his native village of Nakote, which fostered his interest in improving government schools. In 2008, Jimmy worked in the UK at the MondoChallenge Foundation, where he gained various organisational and fundraising skills. 

 

Sadhana Shrestha 

Saathi Teachers Programme Coordinator

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sadhana Shrestha has been working in the education sector for the past 10 years. She oversees the Saathi Teachers Programme by co-designing, developing and implementing its activities. She is currently pursuing her M.Ed. in Leadership and Management from the Kathmandu Universtiy. She is keen on exploring the dynamics between identity and power and creating inclusive learning experiences.

 

KUMARI KAVITA TAMANG

Teacher’s Development Coordinator (TDC)

 

 

Kumari Kavita Tamang, a committed and competent Sociology Master's degree holder, has been a driving force in education since 2012. Her innovative journey began in 2019 as a Help Saathi educator, where she discovered her passion for education in rural Nepal. Kavita is now the Teacher's Development Coordinator for the Anbu Khaireni Cluster, and she is constant in her commitment to improving education quality in communities that are underprivileged. Her knowledge and leadership are essential to creating a better future for the children and communities she supports.

 

Melina Shrestha 

Teacher’s Development Coordinator (TDC)

She is a graduate of Environmental Science and Sociology. She has been engaging herself with the rural and urban communities through several developing projects with the aim of promoting sustainability. At HELP, she is coordinating Saathi Teachers of Paanchpokhari municipality to promote sustainable education. 

 

SADIKCHHYA PANDEY

Sadikchhya Pandey, currently working as a Teachers' Development Coordinator and with prior experience as a primary teacher, holds a Bachelor's degree in Social Work and Journalism from Supreme College. Her role is infused with a unique blend of skills and passion, driven by a profound commitment to teaching and social service. She aims to make a meaningful impact in the lives of educators and students alike, fostering excellence in education and driving positive change within communities.

 

Ramhari Sapkota

Scholarship Co-ordinator

 

Ramhari is a former teacher and public health graduate who has been working in education since 2020. Ramhari joined HELP in 2022 as a Bharosa Scholarship Coordinator. Now, he is handling both the HELP scholarship and the Bharosa Scholarship Programme.

 

KISHOR RAJ SINGH

Finance and Procurement Officer

 

Kishor completed a master's in business administration (MBA) and joined HELP in 2017 as a finance officer. He is responsible for organising and managing all of HELP’s finances, including all donations and scholarships granted by HELP.

 

Amrit Tiwari

School in a Bag Coordinator 

Amrit Tiwari, originally from Melamchi, received the HELP Scholarship in 2018 to continue his high school education and is now pursuing a bachelor's degree in Physics. Amrit joined HELP as an intern in March 2022 and is currently working there as the School In a Bag Coordinator.

 

Goma Adhikari 

Facilitator -Saathi School and Community Relations

Goma has been working in the education sector since 2018. She joined as a Help Saathi teacher in 2021 and currently works as a Saathi teacher facilitator. Simultaneously, she is pursuing a master's degree in education planning management from Tribhuvan University.

Ranjana Gautam

Programme Coordinator -Saathi 

Ranjana is a former teacher and an IT graduate who has been working in education since 2016. Ranjana's primary job as a Saathi Co-ordinator was to Coordinate, Co-designing, Develop and Implement the overall Saathi Teachers Programme.

 

 

MOHAN TAMANG
Programme Coordinator (Livelihood and Greenhouse)

Originating from Gunsa, Sindhupalchok District, Mohan volunteered with HELP in the International Volunteering Programme for over 3 years before joining the team as Field Officer. He now has the responsibility of organising the volunteer program making sure that volunteers are placed where they are needed most. Also, he looks after the community livelihood program.

 

TENJEN NURBU SHERPA

Intern

Tejnen joined HELP in 2020 as an intern. He is originally from Helambu and is also one of the HELP scholarship students. He is working as a programme assistant and admin officer. He provides clerical assistance to all the programmes under HELP. 


KUNZANG DORJE LAMA
Graphics and Communication Intern

Kunzang joined HELP in 2021 as an intern. He is originally from Helambu and has been working as a freelance designer. His role is to provide graphical and communication support Saathi Programme and other programmes of HELP.
